Rainy as ever today, gotta love Florida
My parents called me out to record my reaction as the E38 rolled off the truck, I was under the impression that it was going to come a lot later than now so that was really cool. I also made the money I paid for it right back in the form of selling my Accord to my dad’s friend who needed a car. Sad to see it go but they’re like brothers so I know I’m going to see it again. I blew the speakers a while back so he bought new ones that I helped him put in today, and afterwards I let that E38 rip around my neighborhood as a celebratory drive. I’m super stoked to have such a beast of a car, and on top of that, now that my dad drives less (for sad reasons nonetheless, but he told me not to let that ruin the moment :/ ) the CR-V is now mine. My fleet now consists of a 2013 CR-V AWD as my daily and a 1997 BMW 740i as the project/fun car and I couldn’t be happier. Last year around this time I was a pathetic sad sack of a human, a lot can happen in a year folks. Keep your head up and keep working towards your goals and it’ll all come true and be worth it.

Reading this makes me wish you could have bought the Miata. Ah well. Congrats on the BMW, that looks like it should be a fantastic project.

Awesome! E38 is the last good 7! Glad you’re doing well mentally as well, that’s incredibly important, especially during these times.

Glad things are going well mate! I can’t wait until I have a place of my own and can finally import a FIAT from Poland :/
All in due time I guess!

Fun fact, first BMW I ever drove was a 1997, but unlike your 7, it was a 528i. I was also 17 then, but it was only 10 years old then.

I do wish I could’ve bought the Miata. I still plan on owning one at some point and I know I won’t find one as cool as yours, but for the time being this is still pretty great.

Appreciate it, and yeah these are really trying times but I know I can get through it now. Cars are a great form of therapy and have helped me a lot in the past, I know things will get better as this goes on with time.

Appreciate it man, all in due time for sure. Keep working towards it and keep your head up even through these weird times and I'm sure you'll be able to achieve your goals.

Before I got the E38 I’ve never been much of a BMW guy, but let’s just say I’m a changed man now lol. An E39 is on my bucket list, as well as a clean E30 M3 , E90 M3 , E31, and maybe even a 1M. I'm looking at a career with BMW too through my school's automotive program, so we'll see how that goes too.

I pretty much grew up with and learned to drive on the CR-V, it's so weird that it's mine now. My dad still drives on occasion to the store or doctor, so for the times he'd need it I'll drive the E38 to school and work. I like the wheels, they're off an E65 7 Series and honestly I think it fits the E38's lines a lot better, I love it.

A truly i nspirin g story. I have always wanted a fun car and next year will probably be the time to make it happen. I'm excited, because there are so many possibilities and I have a buyer in the family. I can't go for the two car approach like you, unfortunately.
